On the other hand, interviews with the writer and director of the movie, Joss Whedon, revealed after the release that he is pleased with the representation of his villain. Whedon's goal was to humanize Ultron's robot character, and it's ironic that the "too human" qualities of the villain's character is what has failed to appeal to the viewers. Nonetheless, the other intentions of Whedon were met. A unique villain was created and the movie has thrived, already passing the lifetime earnings of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and Iron Man 2. Even if the fans disagree with some representations, Marvel has life-long fans that are still looking forward to the next movie.
